Many manga artists took on the challenge of adapting it into a manga but among them, Jiro Kuwata's version, which was serialized in Shueisha's Shonen Book, was a work that depicts the scientific tricks hidden behind the horror of the original work. Its sharp and linear touch was highly praised.
