In Korea, during the Chosun dynasty (1392-1910), there lived a man called Lim Keok Jeong who gathered and armed a whole group of peasants to fight the despotism of the aristocrats. Known for being very strong and fearless, he quickly achieved the status of national hero, due to his charisma and the fight he led. Lee Doo Ho's adaptation tells in detail his life, the difficulties of being a peasant at the time, the weight of traditions, but also the circumstances which led him to take sides against the aristocracy.
