The story follows Hidehisa, a chef who is on leave from work due to workplace troubles. While visiting various shrines, he gets lost and ends up in an unfamiliar place. When he wakes up, he finds himself surrounded by a group of small foxes! He discovers that he has stumbled upon a village inhabited by children who are candidates to become Inari gods. Upon learning that their diet consists mainly of instant food, Hidehisa decides to cook proper meals for them during his stay. However, as he begins to settle into life in this otherworldly village, a distortion in time and space caused by his presence starts to grow, leading to unforeseen consequences.
