Despite being a beautiful girl, Anri has spent her entire life being avoided by other people. Her naturally intimidating eyes and the unsettling aura she gives off make everyone assume she's frightening before she even gets a chance to speak to them. More than anything, Anri just wants to be ordinary. Then she's suddenly summoned to another world. The god responsible for bringing her there offers to grant her one wish, so Anri asks for something incredibly modest: average-looking eyes and an average aura. Unfortunately, she forgets to specify whose average she's talking about. The being granting her wish happens to be an Evil God. Anri's request is therefore interpreted according to the standards of evil gods, transforming her already intimidating presence into something so overwhelmingly sinister that the inhabitants of her new world instinctively fear her. Thus begins Anri's attempt at a peaceful second life, armed with an appearance and supernatural presence that constantly convince everyone around her that she's some terrifying manifestation of evil. All Anri wants is a quiet, ordinary existence. Instead, misunderstandings pile up, frightened people interpret her casual actions as those of an unfathomable higher being, and the girl who desperately wanted to become average gradually finds herself filling the role of an actual Evil God. An absurdist isekai comedy about a socially awkward girl who asks the wrong god to make her average and discovers that being “average for an Evil God” is considerably less inconspicuous than she hoped.
