Eugen, a reincarnated alchemist, is suddenly dumped and fired by his fiancée, Ellie, the owner's daughter, and kicked out of the workshop where he had been living and working, without even taking his belongings. Having lost everything, Eugen considers abandoning the path of alchemy, but he reunites with Meruru and Heidmarie, who were once his party members, and remembers the passion for alchemy that he inherited from his master. The three of them form a party, purify a haunted mansion, rent it, and begin living together in a new town.
