"Yusei Shonen Pappy'' is a TV anime produced by TCJ (currently Aiken) that aired for 52 episodes at the Glico Theater as a follow-up to "Gigantor.'' Papy, which is Japan's first "life-size transformation hero anime," has gained overwhelming support from children. Related products such as gum, athletic shoes, notebooks, and plastic models were released one after another and were well received. This book (all 2 volumes) is the first book that compiles the comicalized works that were serialized in Kobunsha's monthly manga magazine "Shonen'' from November 1964, seven months before the anime began airing. The artist is Hideki Inoue, who is known for his masterpieces such as "Thunder 7'' and ``Space Patrol Hoppa,'' and is also a founding member of Hikari Productions, led by Mitsuteru Yokoyama. Furthermore, Shoichiro Yoshikura, who is listed as the original creator, is a joint pen name that is a combination of the names of five anime production staff members. In addition to all the episodes serialized in the "Shonen" magazine, this complete edition covers the three one-shots published in the extra issue, the newly drawn works included in Kappa Comics, and the Asahi Sonorama (Sono Sheet) version, marking the dawn of TV animation. I hope you enjoy this masterpiece.
