Shigekazu Nanatane, who works in the advertising department of a newspaper company, is put in charge of editing the serial 'Tokyo's Kitchens', which covers readers' kitchens (omoku). The cost-conscious Nanatane is pushed around by the "selfish writers" who want to feature the humble kitchens of amateurs.
